Buildings

The Memorial Church is an imposing local landmark, one of the few historic buildings in the London Borough of Newham. As the photo above, of a poster on the leaded glass door of the South hall shows, it's also used to try and meet the needs of local people - in this case those who are homeless.

Alongside the church has a two-storey hall, the Swift Centre. Both are used by the church and other groups to provide a range of community activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Click to find out more about the history, current projects and activities in the church building and Swift Centre, room hire, and plans for future development.

For an excellent archive picture of how the church buildings used to be, take a look at The Newham Story website here.
